About Otis Hayes III, Esq.
Otis is an attorney licensed in the State of California and in the United States Federal District Court for the Central District of California. He has significant civil litigation experience representing clients in the areas of entertainment, landlord-tenant, bankruptcy, criminal law, and lemon law matters in both State and Federal courts.
He has been in the entertainment field for many years as a professional drummer and has toured worldwide and has performed with an impressive list of recording artists. He was raised in Austin, Texas, and studied jazz composition and performance at the University of North Texas. He later received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry Studies from California State University Northridge and his law degree from The University of West Los Angeles School of Law.
With over 10 years of experience with California’s lemon law, Otis has defended or taken over 600 depositions and handled approximately 200 cases, including those alleging:
- Breach of Warranty under The Song-Beverly Warranty Act and The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
- Fraudulent Concealment
- Violation of California Commercial Code and the
- Consumer Legal Remedies Act
- Negligent Repair
Otis was drawn to the lemon law field by his passion to protect consumers from overreaching and unfair corporations. His goal is to provide the client with a clear understanding of the litigation process and keep them informed every step of the way.
