About Elizabeth Quinn, Esq.

Elizabeth’s list of degrees, certifications and training reflect her passion for education and learning. She earned her BA in Philosophy, Politics & Law from State University of New York at Binghamton in May 1995 (Dean’s List 1992-1994), completed a 13-unit Study Abroad (one-on-one tutorials) in Jurisprudence at Oxford University, U.K. Hilary Term 1995, earned her JD from Pepperdine School of Law in May 2000, has a Certificate in Dispute Resolution (1/2 Masters) from Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, attended the National Institute of Trial Advocacy trial skills program in 2004 and various other miscellaneous continuing education programs like Women’s Negotiation at Straus Institute, Women’s Leadership with Joan Goldsmith, Advanced Mediation with Ken Cloke at the Center for Dispute Resolution and more.

She got her first taste of litigation during a summer internship in 1998 with the Law Offices of Harmon Sieff in Santa Monica and since she obtained her California State Bar license on December 1, 2000, has practiced in civil litigation at law firms and as a sole practitioner from 2008 to 2018. She joined The Barry Law Firm in 2018, to help people fully and effectively enforce their legal rights. It brings her great satisfaction that she is able to utilize the civil litigation knowledge, skills, and experience that she developed since 2000 to fight for our clients, and to train our junior associate attorneys.

She has been a member of the Santa Monica Bar Association (SMBA), Southern California Mediation Association (SCMA), California Lawyers for the Arts, American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and currently the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA).  She was nominated Junior Trial Attorney of the Year at Early, Maslach in 2004, volunteered as Mediator with California Academy of Mediation Professionals (CAMP) on a weekly basis in LASC courts from 2013-2017, mediating litigated cases in Long Beach and Santa Monica courts.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time doing anything with her husband, and listening to live music, everything from blues and rock, to classical and opera. She also loves the outdoors and to travel.
